Antonii Barischevskyi

Antonii Barischevskyi studied piano and composition at the Lysenko Secondary Special Music School in Kiev, and is currently studying with Valerii Kozlov at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy in Kiev. He has participated in several master classes in Europe and the U.S.A. Mr. Barischevskyi is the winner of numerous awards, including first prizes at the Premio Jaén International Piano Competition (2009), the International Isidor Bajić Piano Memorial (2008), and the Isam International Piano Competition (2006). From 1998 to 2009, he played regularly with the National Philharmonic Orchestra in Ukraine and performed at numerous music festivals.

Anna Bulkina

Formerly a student at the Sergej Rachmaninov Conservatory, Anna Bulkina currently attends the School of Music at Texas Christian University, where she studies with Tamás Ungár. In 2009, she won first prize at three competitions: the Wideman Piano Competition, the MTNA National Young Artist Piano Competition, and the Annual Sorantin International Competition. Ms. Bulkina has given numerous concerts in Russia and performed with such orchestras as the Rostov State Orchestra, the Rostov Symphony Orchestra of Music Theatre, and the Sochi Symphony Orchestra.

Tatiana Chernichka

Born in Novosibirsk, Tatiana Chernichka is currently enrolled at the University of Music and the Performing Arts in Munich and at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, studying with Eliso Virsaladze and Prof. Kaufmann. She has won several international competitions, including the Sailer Competition in Italy and the Premio Jaén International Piano Competition in Spain. Ms. Chernichka has also performed at major festivals, including the Armonie sotto la Rocca in Italy, Musical Kremlin in Moscow, and the Braunschweiger Kammermusikpodium in Germany. Ms. Chernichka has also played with such orchestras as the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Symphony Orchestra of New Russia.

Jae Won Cheung

Jae Won Cheung has won prizes in several competitions in South Korea and took first prize at the Grieg International Piano Competition in Oslo. She was a finalist at the Busoni Competition in 2005 and a semi-finalist at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels in 2007. In addition, Ms. Cheung received a special commendation at the 2008 Bösendorfer International Piano Competition in Arizona. She studied with Professor Matti Raekallio at Hanover Hochschule fur Musik und Theater and with Professor Boris Petrushansky at Accademia Pianistica "Incontri con il Maestro" in Imola.

Han Bin Chyung

Hanbin Chyung has won prizes at various junior competitions in South Korea, including first prize at the Busan Music Competition in 2007 and at the Joongang Music Competition in 2009. He also won fifth prize and the Haydn Special Prize at the 2008 Ettlingen International Piano Competition. He has performed in numerous concerts, including as a soloist with orchestra. Mr. Chyung is currently studying with Daejin Kim at the Korean National University of the Arts. He recently won the second prize at the Seoul International Music Competition 2011.

Goran Filipec

Goran Filipec studied at the Ivan Matetich Ronjgov Music School in Rijeka and at the Ino Mirkovich Academy in Lovran, which works closely with the Moscow Conservatory. He also studied with Arbo Valdma at the Academy of Music in Cologne, with Eugene Indjich at the Schola Cantorum in Paris, and with Evgeny Zarafiants at the Zagreb Music Academy. He is currently studying at the Oxana Yablonskaya Piano Institute in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana. Mr. Filipec has performed with respected orchestras in several European and South American cities. He won the José Iturbi Competition and first prize at the Gabala International Piano Competition in Azerbaijan.

George Fu

George Fu was born in Washington, D.C., and began his piano studies at age 5. In 2008, he won both second prize and the Audience Prize at the Oberlin International Piano Competition in Ohio. He made his orchestra debut at the age of 17 with the National Symphony Orchestra at Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Mr. Fu has already won a number of awards as a composer. He is enrolled at the Harvard University and currently studies piano under Mengh-Chieh Liu.

Maroussia Gentet

Born in Lyon, Maroussia Gentet began her piano training at the age of four. She attended the regional Lyon Conservatoire up until she was 13 years old, and then the Conservatoire National Superior—also in her hometown—until 2009. She has been studying with Rena Shereshevskaya at the Alfred Cortot Ecole Normale in Paris since 2009.

Giuseppe Gullotta

Giuseppe Gullotta graduated from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan and completed his master’s degree under Sergio Perticaroli at the Accademia Santa Cecilia in Rome. He has done well on the international piano competition circuit, winning the Premio Bengalli (2006), the Premio Cusi (2006), the Sergej Rachmaninov Competition (2005), the Mendelssohn Cup (2005) and the Treviso International Piano Competition (2004). Mr. Gullotta has performed with a number of orchestras, including the English Symphony Youth Orchestra, the Westchester Philharmonic, the Berlin RIAS Symphony Orchestra, the Enescu Orchestra, and the Giuseppe Verdi Symphony Orchestra of Milan. He has recorded for Rai 1, Radio 3, RadioClassica, Radio Popolare and Sky Classica, and is director of the Naxos in Musica music association. Mr. Gullotta is currently studying with Epifanio Comis.

Sangil Han

Born in Seoul, Sang Il Han studies under Daejin Kim at the Korean National University of the Arts. He won first prize at the 2005 Seoul Young Musicians Competition and third prize at the 2006 Missouri Southern International Piano Competition. Mr. Han has made numerous concert appearances in South Korea, including with the Prime Philharmonic Orchestra at Sejong Center in 2009 and with the Orchestre National de Lorraine in 2007, under the direction of Jacques Mercier.

Ji Hwan Hong

Born in Seoul, Ji Hwan Hong is a student of Karl-Heinz Kämmerling at the Hanover University of Music, Drama, and Media. He won the Val Tidone International Piano Competition in 2006 and first prize at the EPTA International Piano Competition in Osijek, Croatia, the Ehwa-Kyunghyang Piano Competition in 2001 and the Eum-Yeon Piano Competition in 2000. He received a special commendation at the First Music Festival with Juilliard Professors. Mr. Hong also performed in 2001 at the UNESCO Art Festival in Beijing.

Min Soo Hong

Min Soo Hong is the winner of a number of music awards, including second prize at the Oberlin International Piano Competition in the U.S.A. and second prize at the Busan Music Competition in Korea. He was also a semi-finalist at the Clara Haskil International Piano Competition. Mr. Hong has performed in solo recitals and with orchestras in Korea, China, Israel and Germany. He currently studies under Daejin Kim at the Korean National Institute of the Arts.

Yu Mi Lee

Marcos Madrigal

Marcos Madrigal made his orchestra debut at the age of 15, and graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte in 2007, where he studied with Teresita Junco. In 2008, he won first prize at the Avezzano 3rd International Piano Competition. Mr. Madrigal also performed with the Ars Longa ensemble on a number of international tours and in a series of concerts organised by Claudio Abbado. He is currently a postgraduate student at the Lake Como International Piano Academy, studying with William Grant Naborè.

Alessandro Mazzamuto

Currently a student of Epifanio Comis, Alessandro Mazzamuto graduated with top marks, much praise, and honours from the Istituto Musicale Vincenzo Bellini in Catania. The winner of several national and international competitions, he has performed in a number of prestigious European and American concert halls, including La Fenice in Venice and the Salle Cortot in Paris. Mr. Mazzamuto has played with several European orchestras, including the Berlin RIAS Youth Orchestra, the Kiev Chamber Orchestra and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bacau. He has also received awards at several different competitions, including the Clementi Music Competition, the Vincenzo Scaramuzza Competition, the European Mendelssohn Cup, and the Seiler International Piano Competition.

Zheeyoung Moon

Born in Seoul, Zheeyoung Moon began playing piano at the age of four. She graduated from the Korean National University of the Arts, where she studied under Hyung Bae Kim. Ms. Moon has studied at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin since 2006—first with Michael Endres and currently with Fabio Bidini. In 2008, she won the Georges Leibenson Special Prize at the Geneva Competition and third prize at the Cantù Competition in 2010. She has performed as a soloist and with orchestras in many respected concert halls.

Cecilia Yixin Pan

A student of Vladimir Kraynev, Cecilia Yixin Pan is currently enrolled at the Hanover University of Music, Drama, and Media. She made her concert debut at the age of nine, and won first prize at both the Asia-Pacific Tchaikovsky Piano Competition and the Asia-Pacific Beethoven Piano Competition in 2002. In 2009, Ms. Pan won third prize at the Campus International Piano Competition and was also the winner of the prize for the best interpretation of a Spanish work at the Ciudad de Carlet International Piano Competition.

Esther Park

Esther Park studied at the Juilliard School in New York and currently attends the Hanover University of Music, Drama, and Media. As a soloist, Ms. Park has performed at Weill Hall, Carnegie Hall and Steinway Hall in New York, the Salle Cortot in Paris, and Convocation Hall in Hamilton, Canada. In chamber music ensembles, she has given concerts at Alice Tully Hall, Lehman Hall in Santa Barbara, and Harris Hall in Aspen. Ms. Park has won a number of different awards, including the 2009 Prix Amadeo Piano Competition, first prize at the Hanover Chopin Society, first prize at the Mieczylaw Munz International Competition in 2006 and third prize at the San Marino International Piano Competition in 2008.

Mr. Taverna won second prize at the London Piano Competition, first prize in the Minnesota Competition, and third prize at the Leeds Competition—awards that led to solo recitals all over the world and appearances with orchestras such as the London Royal Philharmonic, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and the Minnesota Orchestra.

Ms. Tkachenko has studied with Stanislav Pochekin at the Conservatorio Liceu in Barcelona since 2009. In 2010, she won third prize at the Vila de Capdepera Competition and second prize at the 17th Palma Rotary Club-Ramòn Llull Competition.
