THE BUSONI FESTIVAL  

The Piano International Festival “F. Busoni” happens every two years from 2002 with the goal to underline and strengthen the basic themes of the Competition and to present again the big winners of the “Busoni”, as Marta Argerich, Liliya Zilberstein, Arnaldo Cohen, Boris Bloch, Ursula Oppens, but also winners of more recent editions, as Anna Kravtchenko, Alexander Kobrin, Giuseppe Andaloro and more others. Great names of the international concert circuit have enriched the Festival with their presence: we remember just Alfred Brendel, Arcadi Volodos, Valery Afanassiev, Richerd Goode, Marc-André Hamelin. Winners of other important international competitions are regularly invited to the Festival and another periodic theme is the huge musical and intellectual contribution that Ferruccio Busoni had given to the music of his time.
